NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION
Through balance, composition, tension, and movement, weightlessness arises. The juxtaposition between long, linear circus performers and monolithic buildings carries an aesthetic that exists as an innate property within material taxonomy and tectonic representation. Balance and equilibrium is the primary force by which architectural expression of weightlessness is accomplished within this narrative. The narrative depicts this concept through an analysis of both historic, monolithic buildings, and graceful, curvilinear looking circus performers, with both elements harnessing the energy embodied within their own weight and/or weightlessness, and repositioned to produce new tensions, and compositions throughout New York City.
